The warm, sunny weather brought out the best as the Pleasanton
Seahawks (PLS) competed at the CUDA B/A Long Course Meet in Oakland
June 12 & 13. PLS was busy racking up many new best
times, especially among the younger Age Group
swimmers.
Pre Senior group: Thomas Neufeld - First JO cut 50 breast and
first place in all of his events.
Junior/Pre-Junior: Kevin Gao and Matt Huo had all best
times. Michael Martin swam in his first 500 free and made
best times in the 200 free, 100 breast, and 100 fly.
Intermediate II: Niklas Bengtsson - Four new best
times and a new “B” time in 100 breast; Timothy Ding
- five new best times, new “B” times in 25/100
free and 25/50 back; Samuel Huo – two new best
times; Christy Neufeld - six new best times and new
“B” times in 50/100 breast; Matthew Neufeld - six
new best times and new “B” times in 50/100 breast;
Billy Zhong - 2 new best times and new “B” time in 50
free.
Novice: Samantha Snow established a new best “A”
time in 25 free, first “B” time in 100 IM, and two new
best “B” times in 25 back and 50 breast; Ian Venzon
established three new best “B” times in 25 free, 25
back, 25 fly and his first “B” time in 100 free.
